Ms. Vincent

Hello! My name is Stephanie Vincent, and I am very excited to be teaching Grade One at RancheView School this year. I am confident that we are going to have a wonderful time learning and growing together!

I am extremely passionate about both teaching and learning. I completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology, along with a Bachelor of Education Degree in Social Studies Education (with a specialization in Early Childhood Education) at the University of Lethbridge. As a life long learner I am continually seeking opportunities to further my personal learning.

When I'm not in the classroom you'll most likely find me in the mountains climbing, hiking or skiing, or curled up with a good book. I also enjoy travel, and was fortunate enough to spend most of this past summer exploring Africa and Europe.

I believe that it is my role as a teacher to challenge your child. I encourage my students to try new things, make mistakes, and become passionate about learning. I recognize the beautiful diversity present within my classroom, and I strive to recognize each students' strengths and interests, while supporting their needs. It is important to me that each child who enters my classroom feels supported and empowered throughout the year. Together we will build a classroom community where each member is valued and supported.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns by writing a note in your child's agenda or by email. I am looking forward to sharing this year with you!

Parent Tips

A family atmosphere prevails at our school with the education of your child being a shared responsibility.  We encourage your interest in what your child does each day and welcome your involvement in the classroom, school council and at home.

  1. Please remind your child to practice their home reading on a regular basis.

  2. Please have your child go on our digital levelled reading program Raz Kids and share their reading with you.

  3. Check out the Learn Alberta website for learning activities to do at home.
