Parent volunteers are very important part of our school community!

1. All volunteers are required to submit a Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check before being permitted to volunteer.
2. For the safety of our students and staff, all visitors and volunteers are required to sign in at the office and may only enter through the main entrance. We ask that all visitors, regardless of the duration of their stay, sign in and out at the office.

Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check

Cochrane RCMP offers this service exclusively to residents within our jurisdiction. Appointments are required for fingerprinting services, or for those who are unable to process an online application. We do not currently process walk-in record checks.

Steps to obtain a Criminal Record Check, with Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check

1. Download the Rocky View Schools Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check Application
2. To book an appointment, please contact RCMP at 403-851-8000 for office hours/availability.
3. To request a criminal record check application package, email RCMP KCochrane@RCMP-GRC.gc.ca with your address and request.
   **Applicable fees will be charged at time of application confirmation.

When completed, our office needs to see the original Criminal Record Check document.  Please bring the original to the office where they will take a copy and retain the copy on file for 5 years.

Each year after an Annual Statutory Declaration form will need to be completed and retained at the school.

We also require an annual Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Undertaking form to be completed prior to volunteering.
