Principal's Message

Sharon CroninI am very excited to be joining the Cochrane learning community at RancheView School. I have spent nearly 25 years with Rocky View in Springbank, Bragg Creek, Airdrie, and now look forward to making my way to Cochrane.

Being able to collaborate to create a brand new school culture is a unique opportunity for students, parents/guardians and staff. We are so lucky to be able to come together to create “our” very own school!

An important part of creating our school will be to come together to build relationships so we feel like a real community.  As a native maritimer, it has been ingrained in me that people are what matter. In order to build a strong community of learners and leaders, we first have to get to know one another other.  Once we know each other, we’ll be able to roll up our sleeves and get down to the business of learning and leading! Learning can happen if we feel valued, trusted and are in a safe and caring environment. Everyone has the capacity to be a leader in his or her own way, and together, we are going to develop these leadership skills so everyone can truly be the best that they can be.

I look forward to learning and leading with all of the RancheView community!
